It’s a lot harder to stay active when you can only move one-third of your body and have no hand grip. The exercises that are possible become so much more valuable, especially to strengthen muscles that will eventually compensate for non functioning ones. I know Dave’s biceps are still finding ways to compensate for his now-missing triceps.
Sports may seem like a far-fetched dream to someone that was just injured. Fortunately, there are many others who have found ways to tailor some of our favorite activities to fit the wheelchair.
